An integrated, body-led approach to healing survival mode, grief, burnout, and relational trauma.
You can understand your trauma. You can talk about it. You can explain why you are the way you are, and still feel anxious, shut down, exhausted, or stuck in the same patterns. This isn’t because you’re broken. It’s because trauma doesn’t live in the thinking mind, it lives in the nervous system.
For many people, traditional talk therapy only reaches part of the story. Insight without regulation can leave the body trapped in survival mode, replaying old responses even when life looks “safe” on the outside.
This is where Somatic Trauma Therapy changes everything.
WHAT SOMATIC TRAUMA THERAPY ACTUALLY IS
Somatic Trauma Therapy is a body-based approach to healing that works with the nervous system rather than against it. Instead of asking, “What’s wrong with you? We ask, “What did your body learn it had to do to survive?” Trauma responses are not flaws, they are intelligent adaptations.
Anxiety, dissociation, hypervigilance, emotional shutdown, perfectionism, people-pleasing, overworking; these are all nervous system strategies shaped by experience.
Somatic work helps the body:
• recognize when it is safe
• release stored survival energy
• expand capacity for rest, connection, and presence
• build regulation from the inside out
Healing doesn’t happen by forcing calm.
It happens by teaching the body that calm is allowed.
WHY TALK THERAPY ALONE CAN FALL SHORT
Talk therapy is valuable, but for trauma, it often addresses the story without resolving the physiology.
Many people leave therapy sessions saying: “I know all this already … so why do I still feel this way?”
Because insight does not automatically regulate the nervous system.
Trauma is stored in:
• muscle tension
• breath patterns
• gut responses
• heart rate variability
• instinctive reactions
And, until the body experiences safety, the nervous system will continue to default to survival, no matter how much understanding you have. Somatic Trauma Therapy bridges that gap.
REAL LIFE: HOW THIS SHOWS UP
Narcissistic Abuse & Emotional Manipulation
Someone leaving an emotionally manipulative relationship may intellectually know: “It wasn’t my fault.”
Yet their body remains:
• hypervigilant
• self-doubting
• braced for criticism
• terrified of making the wrong choice
Somatic work helps untangle the trauma bond held in the nervous system; restoring self-trust, boundary awareness, and internal safety.
Domestic Violence & Chronic Threat
For survivors of domestic violence, the body often stays on high alert long after the danger has passed.
Even in safe environments, the nervous system may:
• scan for danger
• struggle with sleep
• dissociate
• react strongly to sound, tone, or proximity
Somatic Trauma Therapy works gently, without forcing re-telling, to help the body learn that the threat is no longer present.
Brutal Divorce & High-Conflict Separation
Divorce isn’t just emotional, it’s neurological. Prolonged conflict, legal stress, and emotional betrayal can lock the nervous system into fight-or-flight for months or years.
Somatic regulation helps restore:
• emotional steadiness
• decision-making capacity
• grounded boundaries
• a sense of self outside survival
Grief & Loss
Grief is not something to “get over.”
Loss lives in the chest, the throat, the gut; often showing up as numbness, exhaustion, or chronic tension.
Somatic work allows grief to move at the body’s pace, without forcing closure or positivity.
Burnout & Nervous System Collapse
Burnout isn’t laziness. It’s a nervous system that has been in overdrive for too long.
Somatic therapy supports:
• nervous system recovery
• rebuilding capacity for rest
• learning how to receive instead of push
• restoring connection to internal cues
THE INTEGRATED PROGRESSION OF MY WORK
Healing is not a single step, it’s a progression. My work is intentionally designed to meet people where they are and guide them forward without overwhelm.
Soul Diving™ for Awareness & Insight
This is where we uncover the emotional patterns, protective parts, and survival strategies shaping your life.
You gain clarity. You understand why your nervous system responds the way it does. But insight alone isn’t the endpoint.
The Pit To Peace™ for Regulation & Stabilization
This is where the nervous system learns how to regulate. Through somatic practices, breathwork, and nervous system education, survival mode begins to soften. Safety becomes a lived experience, not just an idea. This is where real relief begins.
Body-Led Living™ for Integration & Embodiment
This is where regulation becomes your new baseline. You stop managing symptoms and start living from embodied presence.Decisions, boundaries, and relationships begin to emerge from the body instead of stress responses. This is not healing as a task. This is healing as a way of being.
HOW TO BEGIN
If you’re curious whether somatic work is right for you, I offer a complimentary 30-minute somatic consultation.
This is a grounded, no-pressure conversation to explore:
• what your nervous system has been navigating
• where you may be stuck in survival mode
• and which path best supports your next step
When you book, you’ll also receive an Aligned Menu, a free nervous system supportive guide to help you begin responding to your body with intention and care and one that is designed just for you, by you.
