CO-REGULATION, LEADERSHIP, AND EMOTIONAL SAFETY
THE REGULATED RELATIONSHIP™:
Adult + Child
The Regulated Relationship: Adult & Child is a 6-week Nervous System Regulation (NSR)–based program designed to support adults who
care for, teach, or guide children.
This work focuses on adult-led co-regulation; learning how to stay regulated, present, and responsive so children can borrow safety, stability, and emotional regulation through relationship.
Children do not learn regulation in isolation.
They learn it through regulated adults.
This is not a behavior program for children.
It is a leadership-based regulation program for adults.
Trauma-informed. Body-based. Structured for real life.
What Changes Through This Work?
As adults build nervous system regulation capacity,
many experience:
-
Fewer power struggles and escalations
-
Increased confidence in responding instead of reacting
-
Stronger trust and connection with children
-
Calmer environments at home, school, or caregiving settings
-
Greater clarity around boundaries without fear or shame
When the adult nervous system changes, the relationship changes.

-
Co-regulation skills that support a child’s nervous system
